And it turns out running speed workout during finals week is NOT a good idea. I finished my last final this morning and my body was so dang tired and my mind dead from stress. We ran 800's at 3K pace. I started too slow and couldn't get to the pace I wanted. I ran 2:37, 2:36, 2:34 and 2:38. The third one I was alone and pushed really hard to stay on pace but was faster. The last one, I could tell my body was done and was so grateful when we were done. Even my miles after were like moving through molasses. |
