Race at the Oval today. I got a nice long warm up- 3 miles and 1 mile with speed changes. Luckily I was in the first heat so I could be done because there were a lot more people there than what I expected. I got out the first lap and ran a fast first lap. I slowed down too much my second and third laps because I was an idiot and expected the others to push up to me if I slowed down.... but they didn't. One girl passed me at the end of the third lap and I pushed to not be passed by anyone. My last lap was my fastest and I finished with a 5:09. My time was better than I thought I would run and I would surprised I could run that time. I am faster than what I think. I am mad I slowed down so much on my middle two laps. I ran 5 miles cool down with the team. I did my core at home.

Nice job overall. The great thing is that you are in incredible shape and you can improve the slowing in the middle. It's something you can practice in workouts and get better at :D Congrats! 5:09 so early in the year!
