That awkward moment when you reach your weekly mileage but you are still 4 miles away from your car... whoops. Bill, Tomy and I met at East for a long run (I needed 11). My brand new shoes got initiated to XC on the very muddy JCC trail. We ran to JCC and on the trail. The first part was hardly muddy, but by mile 2.5 on the trail it was so bad. I was slipping and falling everywhere and going pretty slow. We picked it up once we were out of the mud, and as we turned off the trail to another trail unfortunately I knew where it would go. And it would be over. 2 summers ago we ran the trail to City Creek and back (14 miles) which is probably on the list of workouts to never repeat. We ran to City Creek, then down to South Temple. I hit 11 when we were just heading down City Creek, and only picked up the pace to hurry and finish. We finished at 15 going up the 900 S. on the hill. It has been a long time since I have run for 2 hours straight....
