Intramural fields workout in spikes. We ran 8x800 with 3 minutes recovery. Pace- 85's. It took us a long time to get the pace- we went way too fast and didn't get in until about the 4th. I felt so much better than I was expecting in this workout. The pace felt fine. Pushed me but very very doable. I didn't start to hurt until about 6. And then by the time the 3 minute rest was up (which felt like an eternity after last workout's 30 seconds) I felt fine and ready to go again. I felt very accomplished and mentally stable and focused. Today was the first interval workout with the team that I did every repeat. Small and simple victories are worth the celebration. But my calves are so dead.
